Founded in Southern California and contemporaries of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Dirt Band plays in a country rock, progressive bluegrass style. The half hour concentrated on the 1970's version of the Dirt Band - John McEuen, Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Les Thompson and Jim Ibbotson.
