The alt-pop/rocker led a troubled childhood (arrested, expelled from school, dad died) until he discovered music. Good thing, too because some of his songs are brilliant. Seems like a lot of doom follows him around (his mom died recently and his sister committed suicide) so many of his songs have a dark or sad edge to them. He has released six CD's since 1996. Let's start out with a miniconcert from the new live album.
