FEATURED ARTIST: Lovin' Spoonful
Formed in New York City in 1965 and disbanding in 1968 when John Sebastian, the heart, the soul, the eyes and ears of the band, left the group. It blows your mind to think that most of these songs were written in a mere 24 months and I'm not even going to play Summer in the City. The Lovin' Spoonful considered themselves a good-time jug band but were more folk/pop driven. They released four vinyl albums with Sebastian at the helm.
