The curse of the new Bob Dylan was inflicted on Steve Forbert with the release of his first album back in the mid 70's. No singer songwriter can live up to such a standard. And so, even though he has a unique talent, he received less and less notice with each subsequent release. Unfortunate indeed because his music should be heard by a wider audience.
