FEATURED ARTIST: Moody Blues
The Moody Blues had three incarnations - as British R&B in the early 60's, as dreamy psychedelia from 1968 to 72 and as a comeback rock band from 1977 to 88. Mike Pinder and Ray Thomas formed the band in 1964 in Birmingham, England adding and subtracting members until 1966 when Graeme Edge, John Lodge, and finally Justin Hayward became the group we know today as the Moody Blues. As near as I can figure they released 18 studio albums and a few live recordings. I will concentrate on their middle years here since that is when they were at their best.
