Well known as the guy who wrote "Daydream Believer" for the Monkees and "Gold" for Fleetwood Mac, John Stewart was well regarded as a folk-rock artist but also had strong country roots. A former Kingston Trio member, he went solo in 1968 and released scores of albums over a 40 year career. John Stewart passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the age of 68.
