English Singer/songwriter Beth Orton broke onto the music scene as a solo artist in 1996. She's a folkie for the electronic age. On her debut album she merged acoustic songcraft with digital dance beats and a warm, soothing voice to produce a very unique sound. On subsequent albums she mixes folk, jazz and blues while focusing on her evocative voice. A tough artist to pigeonhole, Beth Orton has released just four CDs.
