Britain's socially conscious singer/songwriter, Billy Bragg was a leading figure in the anti-folk movement of the early 80's. He's lyrics can be bitingly acerbic but his tunes tend to be melodic and full of hooks. Although starting out as a punk rebel he quickly became a bona fide pop star in the U.K. and by the end of the decade rather well known in the U.S.A. His new CD, Mr. Love and Justice, is just his ninth full length album released since 1984.
