FEATURED ARTIST: The Breeders
Formed in 1988 by Throwing Muses guitarist Tanya Donelly and Pixies bassist Kim Deal, The Breeders shined as a punk/pop showdown band. After the first album and a half, Donelly went on to form Belly which prompted Deal to enlist the help of her twin sister, Kelley. Between the second and third albums there was a nine year hiatus because of drugs, in-fighting and name disputes. Ultimately, though, it's the music that matters which lead to this year's brand new release, Mountain Battles.
