Malcolm John Rebennack, Jr. was born in New Orleans on Nov 21, 1940. Dr. John, as we all know him, mixed rock & roll with the blues and R&B to establish himself as an great funk artist in the early 70's. Then, as his career progressed a jazzier feel could be heard in his music effectively beginning a second incarnation. Dr. John has released a plethora of albums since 1968 after his stint as a session keyboardist.
