Although the English pop group, Chumbawamba, formed in 1984 they were relegated to obscurity until 1997 when their one and only hit, Tubthumping, became an international sensation. Their strong, politically conscious songs often got them into trouble with conservative groups. Over the years, their sound began to emphasize an exquisite folk element with all member singing in unison on occasion. Chumbawamba has released 17 studio albums.
