THEME: Best Albums of '08

For your consideration, here are my selections for the best albums of 2008. This is the third year that I've compiled this list. As with all other editions, WMUH did not receive several key CDs from established artists like Loudon Wainwright III and his daughter, Nick Low, Ray Davies and Eliza Carthy, so they could not be reviewed for this best of show. Thousands of CDs each year are sent to WMUH. Of that staggering amount, I probably listened to more than a third of them. There were many strong candidates last year so I reluctantly dropped a few deserving artists. Since music is the elixir of the soul hearing these great songs should keep you in high spirits throughout the day.
