FEATURED ARTIST: Fiery Furnaces
Brother and sister duo Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger are from Oak Park, IL but moved to New York City in 2000 to form the Fiery Furnaces. The pair mixes simple, poppy melodies with a dizzying array of wordplay and dashes of folk, blues, and garage rock. Plenty of their early tunes are true ear candy. The Fiery Furnaces released five full length CDs plus a compilation CD that collects songs from the EPs.
