FEATURED ARTIST: Joan Baez
One of the great interpretive folk singers of a generation, Joan Baez possesses a pure and refreshing soprano singing voice with a three octave vocal range. She was born in New York City in 1941 and issued her first album at 19. A Vietnam war protest singer in her early days she parlayed that stance into other area of activism such as human rights and the environment after the war ended. Over the years she has also composed some wonderful songs for her over 30 released albums.
