FEATURED ARTIST: Lou Reed
The iconic Lou Reed formed a little band with John Cale called the Velvet Underground back in the mid -60's experimenting with sound and in the process fathering many new music forms. His solo career was just as inspiring and his influence spans the decades. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1942, Reed taught himself guitar while listening to the radio and playing in several groups while in high school. So far Lou Reed has released over two dozen albums.
