FEATURED ARTIST: The Frames
Formed in 1990 by Glen Hansard, The Frames are a Dublin, Ireland band playing rock music slanted toward a folk pop styling. The combo is well-known in some countries but get little notice in the U.S.A. which should be rectified since they create music that affects the soul. Hansard starred in the movie 'Once' with Swelling Season's partner Marketa Irglova which won an Oscar for best original song in 2008. The Frames have released six studio albums and two live albums plus a number of EPs in a decade and a half.
