Six years ago as a recent high school graduate John McCauley toured the country as a solo act using the name Deer Tick. The singer/songwriter used this time to hone his multi-instrument skills and train his raspy voice. After returning to his home town, Providence, RI, he pieced together a band and began recording alums. Deer Tick has an American roots music sound steeped in folk rock and alternative country blues. They released three CDs since 2007.
