Canadian/American singer-songwriter Leslie Feist grew up in Calgary where she honed her talents as a vocalist, dancer and guitarist. Her father, an American, grants her dual citizenship rights. Her music style leans toward folk pop relying heavily on soaring, heartrending vocals. She is a member of Broken Social Scene and early this decade appeared regularly with Peaches. To date, Feist released four studio albums along with a remix CD.
