Talented singer/songwriter Robyn Hitchcock was born and raised in London, England. His first incarnation came as leader of the power pop band, The Soft Boys, in the late 1970's. His solo self had several band line-ups including the Egyptians and The Venus 3. The latter claimed R.E.M.'s Peter Buck and Young Fresh Fellows' Scott McCaughey as group members. He writes melodic pop songs in a quirky, often psychedelic folk rock style. Robyn Hitchcock released 19 studio albums since 1981.
