FEATURED ARTIST: Mary Gauthier
Confessional singer/songwriter, Mary Gauthier, didn't start writing songs until well into her 30's. She first became a professional chef in the Boston area before ceding to her music muse. To finance her second album she sold her share in the restaurant and went on to critical acclaim. She's mostly acoustic folk with hints of rebellious country rock appearing on several tracks. Mary Gauthier released six albums since 1997.
