Country rock pioneer Gram Parsons (born Cecil Ingram Connor III in Winter Haven, Florida on November 5, 1946) died on September 19, 1973, in Joshua Tree, CA. The man packed a lot of music in his 26 years. He played guitar or piano and sang with the International Submarine Band (one album), The Byrds (one album) and The Flying Burrito Brothers (two albums) before starting his solo career with Emmylou Harris. Gram Parsons released two studio albums and one live LP along with several posthumous compilation recordings.
